In the last 25 years, Specialty Tape & Label has continually expanded their equipment line in an effort to better serve their customers. It all started in 1983 with a single 2 color 7" wide web press. A year later a second 2 color 7" wide web press and then in 1985 a 13" letterpress was added. Then in 1987 an 18" wide letterpress was installed.

In 1990, we moved to our current location and added a 14" wide 5-color press with U.V.. We saw a need in 1992 for doing more than the usual multi color labels. With our ideas and Aquaflex engineers, we designed a very unique multi web flexographic press, that included hot melt adhesive, U.V., gluing, multi die-cutting, and crimping capabilities. In 1997, we added a 7 ½" 5 color flexo press and in 2000 another 7 ½" press with 8 colors and U.V. capabilities. In 2007 we added a 2 color 18" wide multi-web press with hotmelt adhesive, diecutting, & pinfeeds.

Over the last several years we have seen an increased need for short to medium run high quality full color labels with or without variable information. In 2004 we addressed these issues by partnering with Hewlett Packard and installed an HP INDIGO web fed digital press to provide these short to medium run labels & tags at competitive prices. To compliment the INDIGO we also installed a servo driven re-register diecutter.
The digitally printed labels and tags can have a U.V. overcoat or a laminate can be added if needed. This press is capable of printing on many different substrates including but not limited to tag stock, pressure sensitive papers, polystyrene, polypropelene, vinyl, unsupported films. Finished products can be supplied on rolls or sheets.
